Sage Moon Apothecary

Mind, body, spirit, and emotions – Each unique facets of a person all playing together harmoniously. The definition of holistic is one that pays delicate attention to all of the aforementioned components. And Jennifer May, holistic practitioner and owner of  Sage Moon Apothecary has done an amazing job in creating natural health-based creations for just about any disquiet nature.

Jennifer herself is a wealth of knowledge, beginning her journey as a holistic healer in 1999 at the East West School of Herbology in Santa Cruz California. Since beginning this journey, Jennifer has studied Eastern and Western Herbal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic Medicine. Sage Moon Apothecary was birthed in 2015 after 20 years of herbal and harmonic generation, nestled in the cozy village of Seal Harbor, Maine.

It felt like Christmas morning receiving all of these lovely and beneficial goodies from Sage Moon Apothecary. I will attempt to contain my excitement as we move left to right based on the above photo.

The first product featured, Golden Milk Electuary Chai has already been incorporated into my daily cup (or two) of tea. This delicious addition adds a cinnamon accent and helps relieve sore joints, warms the tummy, and is all around a soothing treat. Ingredients: Turmeric (contains approximately 10 tablespoons per 1 cup of honey), ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, cayenne, honey, and coconut oil.

The next displayed indulgence is Over the Edge – Skin, Lip & Mood Balm, it equates to an elixir of moisture for the whole body to enjoy. This multipurpose balm can be used to replenish not only your lips, but reduce facial lines/wrinkles and aids as a nourishing skin repair. Even more, the active ingredient of St. John’s Wort Oil adds mood lifting and heart opening properties – All of these bountiful health benefits in a compact stick (That I now consider a necessity in my pocket), need I say more? Ingredients: Oils of coconut, olive, and avocado infused with helichrysum flowers, rose petals, calendula flowers, nettles, St John’s Wort, chrysanthemum flowers, hawthorn flowers and leaves, red clover, with essential oils of lavender, beeswax, rose hip seed, vegetable glycerin, unrefined shea butter, and geranium.

Moving on down this enchanted line, Cappuccino Eye Gel Creme is the soothing restorative under eye creme that you’ve been looking for. Organic coffee infused with light oils dance with mango butter creating antioxidants and caffeine that: Restore, firm, tighten, and even assist in alleviating dark circles and potential puffiness. And rest easy, there are NO essential oils in this product, making it 100% safe to use in the general eye region. I foresee this becoming an important regimen in my daily morning routine. Ingredients: Organic jojoba oil, organic baobab oil, organic carrot seed oil, organic rose hip seed oil, organic sumatran coffee, organic mango butter, and beeswax.

And now, the finality of this featured collection, Wicked Muscle Salve. This salve is the perfect remedy for soothing those sore and aching muscles (And there’s even a vegan option as well). Rubbing this concoction into sore muscles creates warmth and circulation to aid in reducing inflammation. And I can personally attest that after a refreshing but strenuous yoga workout, that it is currently doing its job. The ingredients alone are enough to provide comfort, consisting of: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Ginger, Capsicum (Cayenne), beeswax, Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil, and turmeric essential oil.

The interconnectedness between mind, spirit, emotion, and body is so critical to our overall wellbeing/health (Both emotional and physical), yet can be so easily disregarded. Introducing natural and multi-purpose ingredients to our body can be such a sweet and self-indulgent necessity. I am simply smitten with Sage Moon Apothecary’s featured line up, and there’s so.much.more. where that came from. Browse, explore, and most importantly – Honor yourself, all facets.
